The Clinton men and women traveled to Hudson on May 5th for a dual meet with the Tigers and did not disappoint. The men defeated Hudson 82.5 - 47.5 while the women took care of business and won 73-51. There were 32 personal records recorded for the men’s team including a massive 5’ PR for Tyler Bowles in men’s shot put, a blistering 12.1 second PR for Zak Shadley in the 100m dash, and a full foot PR for Isaac Harris in the men’s long jump while the women followed up with 17 of their own on the feet of Brianna Underwood in the women’s long jump, Griffin Faulkner in women’s pole vault, and many more.

Men’s Team Meet Awards:

• Most Valuable: Caden Zbikowski for stepping up to the line and taking on four events, scoring in all four, for his first meet of the season.

• Most Improved Field: Tyler Bowles for his massive 5’ PR in shot put!

• Spirit of the Meet: The male throwers for crushing their first attempt at the 4x100 “Buffalo Relay” as well as all earning PRs in the 100m dash!

The Clinton women got off to their usual good start in the field events. Brynn Federick and Summer Chandler took first and second in the high jump, Bri Underwood ruled the long jump, Lena Korte won both the shot put and discus, Mykell Brodie took second in the discus, and Griffin Faulkner also took the silver in pole vault.

The Clinton team started the track portion of the meet off in dramatic fashion as Alissa King erased an eleven second deficit in the 4x800 relay anchor leg to snatch victory away from the home Tigers. Underwood (100), Federick (200), Maliah Piatt (400), Samantha Coots (1600), and Cassie McNatt (300 hurdles) all took individual gold medals as Clinton defeated Hudson to move to 3-2 in the LCAA standings.
