Clinton hosted a quad meet on 2/24 as part of the league schedule and went 3-0 to raise the season record to 10-1 (4-1) in the conference. Clinton opened with Onsted and won 83-0. Next up was Columbia Central 84-0. The final match of the night was a win over Ida 78-0. During intermission between matches the wrestling team honored their seniors and parents for their contributions to the program over the last 4 years including a state championship in 2020. Senior being recognized were Jaecy Jones, Cole Brighton, Ryan Phillips, Landis Gillman, Spencer Konz, Brayden Randolph, and AJ Baxter. To date this group has been part of 3 district titles, 3 regional titles, 3 final 4 appearances, a state runner-up finish in 2019, and the previous mentioned state title in 2020. As a group to date they have combined for 644 individual career wins and 12 state qualifying seasons with 10 all-state awards. The program thanks them for helping move the program forward! Clinton is at Battle Creek Central field house Saturday 2/27 before returning to league action at Columbia Central on Wednesday 3/3.
