The 8th Grade team hosted the Bulldogs from Summerfield last night and were nipped late in the game by the score of 39-35. "What a game the boys played tonight!! We finally got off to a hot start and were up 9-2 at the end of the 1st quarter. A sluggish 2nd quarter had us down 1 (24-23) at half time. A very nice 3rd quarter put us up 4 (28-24). But in MS basketball you need to withstand the rollercoaster of ups and downs, as Summerfield was able to hit 2 FT's with only 15 seconds left to ice the game 39-35. The boys put themselves in a position to win this game and I couldn't be prouder of their effort.  After traveling to Summerfield for the first go around and getting beat by 18 pts and then to get them at home and make such a great game of it tonight is a testament, as to how much better this team has gotten. The team took 3 Offensive Charges in the game, which is amazing at the MS level!!! Again our team motto this year is #getbetter, has really resonated with the boys. So, proud of them. Leading in the scoring column tonight was Teddy Pizio's career high 24 pts, Jack Dettling 4 pts, Gavin Shores 3 pts, Brandon Johnson 2 pts, and  Jacob Rothman 2 pts. The team will conclude their season with a HOME game vs Sand Creek on Monday December 16th and conclude their season at Whiteford on Wednesday December 18th." commented Coach Ramos
