It was an amazing environment with a lot of energy. Our girls came out strong and attacked Manchester's press with intensity. It was a back and forth game with the score at the end of the 1st quarter at 9-7 Manchester. We kept it close and continued to battle every possession throughout the 1st half but were down by 10 at the half 24-14. We knew it was going to be a battle from start to finish and we couldn't afford mistakes or a scoring drought and unfortunately both happened during the 3rd period. Our girls never gave up and continued to focus on becoming 1% better every play of every second of every game. Foul trouble snuck up and got us a little in the 3rd quarter and we had to go to our bench and they were ready. We had 13 attempts that quarter but only 2 were made. Cold shooting aside the girls continued to work and learn throughout the game. Score was 38-18 @ the end of three and the final was 50-24. Our girls played with passion and energy throughout the game and were lead in scoring by Libbi Fair with 8 points and Rory Kelly with 6 points. A lot to learn from and exciting times ahead. Go Skins!
