The 8th Grade boys basketball team traveled to Deerfield last night to take on the Patriots and were defeated by the score of 44-23. "Well we played an amazing 2nd quarter out scoring BD 18-2, but the other three quarters we struggled to score and stop them on the defensive side. The boys played so well in the 2nd quarter, we just have to continue to work to keep that type of play going in the other quarters. BD knocked down five 3's in the first quarter to go up 19-2 after one quarter, but the Redskins battle back and won the 2nd quarter by the score of 18-2, which put them down 21-20 heading into halftime. Scoring for the Redskins were Nate Page 7 pts, Teddy Pizio 5 pts, Brandon Johnson 4 pts, Seth Root 2 pts, Garrett Larimand 2 pts and Gavin Shores 1 pt. The boys continue to work hard, but we will need to continue to get better during practices." stated Coach Ramos. The Redskins will play Monday at Summerfield and then be off for Thanksgiving Break.
