The 8th Grade boys basketball traveled to play in a 4 team tournament this past weekend at Sand Creek and came away with a split, losing to Blissfield in their first game and then bouncing back to defeat Hudson in their second game of the day. "Well we ran into a buzzsaw of a team from Blissfield in our first game, as they really took it to us. They were able to get some easy transition buckets off of turnovers. The team continued to play with hustle and determination. In the second game of the day versus Hudson (36-26) the Redskins picked up their first victory of the season. They played outstanding defense, making their press work for some easy transition buckets off of steals. The boys only allowed "1"  point in the 3rd quarter. The Redskins were lead by Teddy Pizio's 19 point explosion (he was 7-7 FT's), Jack Dettling with 4 pts, Brandon Johnson 4pts, Seth Root 2 pts, Garrett Larimond 2pts and Gavin Shores 2pts. We were excited to pick up or first win of the season and look to get back into the groove with 2 games this upcoming week. Monday we have our first home game of the season vs Lenawee Christian and then on Thursday November 21st we will be making up our "snowed out game" vs Britton Deerfield at Deerfield. We will keep working in practice to clean up some of our miscues." stated Coach Ramos
