On Friday, May 10th, the Clinton Varsity Track & Field team traveled north to Manchester and walked away with many solid performances. The men placed 5th and women placed 6th behind some serious highlights both on the track and the field.

Men:

Urbanczyk, DeVitto, and King set impressive personal records in the 1600m run as both the 4x100 and 4x200 teams of Underwood, Langer, Wylie, Freeman, and Deshano (collectively) lowered their time and thus improved their top ten state rankings. The 4x400 team of Meeks, Renaldi, Skiff, and Urbanczyk managed to take three full seconds off of their time and find themselves walking away with medals. The men's shot put and discus "relay" teams of Brodie, Posa, Johnson, and Brown placed first in both events capturing the gold. 

Women:

The women started the meet off strong with PRs in the 1600m from King, Fletcher, and Bouse, as the 4x200 and 4x100 relay teams of Burton, Struck, Studnicka, and Arntz (Korte in the 4x200) cruised through the competition in a strong field of female sprinters. The field presented some awesome PRs from Lena Korte in discus (98-08) and Paige Studnicka in the long jump (13-06.5)

The team now prepares for our MHSAA Regional Championship meet at East Jackson on 5/18
