The varsity wrestling team wrestled Sand Creek at home on Wednesday and won 69-3. The dual started at 171 and Clinton got wins by forfeit from Garrett Phillips and Cecil Rafferty at 171 and 189. Ryan Phillips won at 21510-8 and then Will Felts, Deegan Herman, and Chase Packard received forfeits to make the score 33-0. Brandon Beach got a pin at 119 to make it 39-0 at the break. During the intermission the 9 seniors on the team recognized teachers that made a difference in  their lives during their time at Clinton schools. The teachers recognized were: Mr. Hillegonds, Mrs. Warwick, Mr. Randolph,  Mrs. Guest, Mr. Fielder, Mrs. Gilson, Mr. Beazley, Mr. VanLente, and Mr. Posa. Our student-Athletes appreciate the help and support these teachers have shown to all of our students! After the break Clinton got pins out of AJ Baxter and Noah Comar to seel the dual. But Spencer Konz, Riley Jeffrey, Jeff Konz, and Brayden Randolph did their part as awell winning by Tech fall, pin, Decision 9-3, and decision 17-6 to make the final 69-3. The wrestling team has moved to 20-4 for the season and travels to Fenton this Saturday where both the A and B team will be in action.
