The boys junior varsity basketball team picked up their 4th win in a row and 5th win in the last six games this past Friday at Madison High School.  Although Madison remained in striking distance for then entire game, the Redskins led from start to finish.  

The boys raced out to take a 15-7 first quarter lead, which could have been more.  There were some missed opportunities that could have made it a huge first quarter for the Redskins, however, the energy and effort were evident at both ends of the floor. A back and forth second quarter kept Madison hanging around, and eventually they found themselves down only four points at halftime after closing the second quarter on a quick 4-0 run.

The 3rd quarter saw the Redskins continuing to control the game, building an eight point lead heading into the fourth quarter.  In the final frame, the Redskins were able to execute down the stretch, knock down some key free throws, and made the defensive stops to build a 12 point lead with 30 seconds remaining, eventually winning by a final score of 58-51.  The win improves the Redskins to 5-3 overall and 5-1 TCC.

There were four players who reached double figures on the night led by Eric Briggs and Makai Cruz with 13 points apiece.  Tommy Burt added 11 points to go with his team high 15 rebounds.  Jacob Huddleston just missed making it two double-double's on the night with his 10 point and 8 rebound performance.  Davey Campbell played a nice floor game from the point guard position and finished with 6 assists on the night. 

The team will be on the road again this next Tuesday, as they travel to a Division 2 school, Ida, for a non-conference contest.  The JV game will begin at 5:30 with the varsity game to follow.
