The Clinton Redskin Co-ed Track program hosted the annual Duane Pelz Invitation on Friday April 13th and the following performances were turned in by the boys team who placed in the top 8. Trevor Underwood placed 4th in the 100m (11.57) and 5th in the 200m (23.5), Michal Durek 7th in the 400m (58.2), Tyler Sczcepanski 4th in the 800m (2:16), Noah Smith 8th in the 1600m (5:11), Lucas Crumb 2nd in the 110 High Hurdles (15.7), and 4th in the 300m hurdles (44.3). The 4 X 100 relay team consisting of Ryan Skiff, Ian Root, Noah DeShano and Colton Freeman placed 4th (47.8), the 4 X 200 relay team of Alex Wylie, Noah DeShano, Colton Freeman and Trevor Underwood placed 2nd (1:36.7), the 4 X 400 relay team of Tyler Sczcepanski, Noah Smith, Cooper Renaldi and Lucas Crumb placed 5th (3:57), the 4 X 800 relay team of Tyler Sczcepanski, Christian Minard, Nate Chavez and Noah Smith placed 3rd (9:24). The field events featured Connor Brodie placing 2nd (39-9) and Brandt Brown 8th (36-3) in the shot put, Steven Posa 3rd in the discus (106-9), Cooper Renaldi 5th in the high jump (5-6) and Orion Ferrell 7th (5-3). The Clinton boys finished 4th overall in the eight team field with 40 points while Dundee won the event with 89 points.
The ladyskins also had some great performances! Amanda Schaare led the way and set a new school record in the process! Amanda won the shot put with a Heave of 41 feet 9 inches establishing a new meet and school record and tossed the discus 132 feet 7 inches for her second win of the evening. Fellow thrower Shelby Mellinger earned 4th place in the discus with a throw of 83 feet 8 inches. Other placers on the day were; Tessia Struck in the 100 meter dash 13.36 seconds, the 4x400 meter relay team of Tessia, Lindsey Burton, Ali Elwart and Paige Studnicka earned 5th, Ali, Ashley Bouse, Alissa King and Makayla Fletcher earned 5th place in the 4x800 to cap off the scoring.
