The 8th Grade MS Boys season started off with a bang Monday night. The Redwolves came out strong scoring 36 points in the first 3, 5 minute quarters outscoring the Dundee Vikings 36-6. This domination of suffocating defense gave the Redwolves a 3-0 lead heading into the 2nd half (in the LCAA there are 3 five minute quarters in the 1st half and you get a point for each quarter you win, so the most you can be ahead at halftime is 3-0). The second half had the Redwolves outscore the Vikings again with a score of 26-11. The final on the night was an overall WIN for the team, and if you were to put all the scoring together it was the Redwolves 62 Vikings 17. "Well, it was finally nice to play someone with a different color jersey tonight. The boys have been working really hard the last two weeks to prepare for their season. I saw a lot of really good things and with it being the first game their was plenty of things that I saw we need to work on. But wow did they play some great defense in those first 3 quarters. I was also really excited how we moved and passed the ball for most of the game. We will just keep working in practice to get ready for the the next team we play. Proud of the boys", commented Coach Ramos. The Redwolves go on the road this Wednesday to play Ida.
