The Clinton 7th grade Girls Volleyball team defeated the Dundee Vikings in 3 straight sets 25-10, 25-11 and 25-22. Clinton put together a great attack to start out the match but then their serving took over and fired off 30 Aces to capture their first league victory.

 

Leading the Redwolves were

Ashlynn Benschoter with 15 service points 10 Aces 1 Kill.

Kaylin Sposite had 13 service points with 10 Aces 3 kills.

Zoey Utz had 8 points with 3 aces

Avery Loftis had 7 points 5 Aces 3 Assists 

Kylinn Long had 4 points 1 ace and 2 Assists 

Gabby Cordova had 2 points 1 point 1 kill

Abigail Martinez had 1 point 1 ace 1 assist

Rillie Shepherd had 1 point with 1 kill

Clinton will open at home on Wednesday to battle the Hudson Tigers, Congratulations on your first LCAA win.

 

 

The Clinton 8th Grade Volleyball team opened their season Monday, September 20 with a win on the road against the Dundee Vikings  with scores of 25-20, 12-25, and 25-23.  Clinton was led by setter Megan Hammarberg’s 8 service points and four aces.  Other scorers included  Korynn Allen with 7 points (3 aces), Jackie Whiting with 5 points (3 aces), Ava Ostrander with 5 points (1 ace), Lydia Ormsby with 3 points (1 ace), Annabell Preston with 2 points, and Emma Neff and Gabbi Pierce both contributed one point.  

Megan Hammarberg and Korynn Allen assumed primary setting responsibilities and led the offensive attack.  Megan had 5 assists and Korynn contributed 2 assists.    Playing tough at the net were Jackie Whiting (3 kills) , Morgan Hill (2 kills) and Gabbi Pierce and Genevieve Urban both with 1 kill apiece.  The defensive specialists of Layana Culver, Mia Calucci, and Lydia Ormsby are credited with good serve reception and defense.  

Clinton hosts the Hudson Tigers on Wednesday, September 22.  The team is currently 1-0 in the LCAA.
