The Clinton wrestling team had a banner day in New Lothrop Saturday at the individual regional championships. 11 wrestlers advanced to Ford field on March 2nd and 3rd for a chance to be crowned the best in the state. The Redskins were led by 5 champions: Aj Baxter (103), Noah Comar (125), Jeffrey Konz (145), Brayden Randolph (160), and Trent Sexton (189) all captured titles on Saturday. Eathan Hicks (171) and Don Stump (hvy) both took 2nd. Spencer Konz (125) and Riley Jeffrey (140) both finished 3rd in their weights. Anthony Stockdale (130) and Cecil Rafferty (171) finished 4th to advance. The team will compete this Friday and Saturday in the team portion. The team was awarded the 2nd seed with 8 teams left. Wrestling starts at noon on Friday.
